Goshala
Goshala provides shelter, food and compassionate care for cows in a traditional environment, preserving sacred Gau Seva as part of Sanatana Dharma and rural sustainability. At ABVHPS Goshala, rescued, abandoned and aged cows are given lifelong care with proper fodder, regular veterinary support and clean, spacious sheds. Devotees participate in daily go-seva, annadana for cows and special go-puja on festival days, making the goshala a living centre of dharmic rural life.
Benefits
Things You Should Know
Supporting Goshala helps protect indigenous cow breeds, ensures nutritious milk and by-products for nearby families and provides organic manure for fields. Regular donations sustain fodder, medicines and staff, while participation in go-seva offers devotees a direct way to serve Gau Mata and connect with traditional village culture.
Through Goshala, ABVHPS extends practical compassion to animals while nurturing spiritual values in society. Visitors can spend time with the cows, offer grass and feed, join daily aarti in the goshala and learn about traditional cow-based agriculture. Special programs introduce children and youth to the importance of Gau Raksha as taught in our scriptures.
Volunteers help with cleaning sheds, preparing fodder, caring for calves and maintaining the surroundings so that the cows live in a peaceful, sattvic atmosphere. Regular group visits from schools, colleges and families create a deeper respect for cow protection and the rural ecosystem that depends on it.
Donors can sponsor fodder, medicines and shelter improvements for specific cows or for the entire goshala and receive updates on how their support is used. Special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and remembrance days can be marked by go-seva and annadana, turning personal milestones into meaningful service to Gau Mata and the community.
